What Makes Our Macarons Different?
Faith Otutu

Hint: They're not actually cookies. And that's just the beginning.
Let's clear something up first: macarons are not macaroons. One has coconut. One has almond flour, French technique, and a reputation for being notoriously difficult to perfect. We make the second kind. Thousands of them. Weekly.
When we opened Antonio's Macarons at 113 Temple Hill Road, we didn't just want another bakery. We wanted a macaron factory—a place where these delicate, colorful confections could be crafted at scale without losing an ounce of quality. Here's why that matters.
The Macaron Challenge
If you've ever tried making macarons at home, you know. The humidity has to be right. The meringue has to be whipped to exact peaks. The folding technique (called macaronage) has to be perfect—too little and you get cracked shells, too much and you get flat pancakes.
Now imagine doing that hundreds of times a day. Consistently. Beautifully. Deliciously.
That's what happens in our kitchen every morning starting at 8AM.
What Makes Antonio's Macarons Different
Real Ingredients, Real Flavor Our shells start with finely ground almond flour—no substitutes. Our buttercreams use actual fruit purees, premium chocolate, and natural flavorings. When you taste our strawberry macaron, you're tasting real strawberries. Revolutionary concept, we know.
The Freshest Possible We bake daily. Period. Macarons have a sweet spot—about 24-48 hours after filling when the flavors have melded but the texture is still perfect. We time our production so you're getting them at their peak.
Local Love We're proud to be part of the New Windsor community. Our ingredients come from local suppliers whenever possible. Our team lives here. And when you order local delivery, you're supporting a business that turns around and supports its neighbors.
Beyond the Cookie Yes, we sell individual macarons ($3.50) and gift boxes (6 for $18, 12 for $37). But we also create macaron towers for weddings, dessert tables for corporate events, and those stunning macaron-topped custom cakes you see in our gallery. These little cookies are surprisingly versatile.
The Membership Connection
Here's something you might not know: Antonio's is also a home for creative people. Our membership program gives local freelancers, remote workers, and small teams a beautiful space to work, meet, and—let's be honest—snack on fresh macarons while they do it. It's our way of building community around great food.
Come Taste the Difference
Whether you're a macaron connoisseur or trying your first one, we'd love to see you. Stop by 8AM–8PM daily, order online for local delivery, or reach out about custom orders. We'll be the ones in the kitchen, piping shells and probably arguing about whether lavender or pistachio is the superior flavor.
Spoiler: They're both perfect.
